Learning Made Easy with LeapFrog Academy

This summer was a busy one for our family, water park, zoo, museum, play dates, you name it, we’ve done it. We also traveled quite a bit and created plenty of memories that we will cherish for years to come. In the midst of all the fun, I had to find a way for the boys to keep their learning momentum going until school starts. Read More »

Apple Picking At Chudleigh’s Farm

I am starting to feel that little chill in the air. That could only mean one thing- sweater weather is here.  You know what else that means? Fun Fall activities are near. Grab your baskets and prepare to be amazed by the scenery as I take you to a  fun filled day at Chudleigh’s Farm. What a difference a year makes! Last year when we went apple picking, the kids were so much smaller. I never knew that documenting our little life through this blog would bring me so much joy. Where To eat In Toronto: Kellys Landing

The Landing Cure

I love discovering new restaurants to eat at in the city. The food scene in Toronto is one of the best in the world. There is always somewhere new to go, something new to try. Last week, I was invited to taste the delicious food and drinks at Kellys Landing Bar Grill Hub located just a few feet away from the Union Station in downtown Toronto. Such a convenient spot for those of us who live outside of the city. The proximity of the restaurant to the Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre also makes it the perfect place to grab a meal or enjoy pre-or-post-game entertainment. Read More »

How To Grow Your Own Herb Garden

We’ve been looking forward to getting outside this month to start gardening and enjoy our new lush green lawn in the backyard. Our plan was to start gardening in early mid-May, but due to my illness and somewhat longer winter that was not possible. I must admit that I do not know a lot about gardening and I have always been so envious of those who have a green thumb.  Since I partnered with Scotts Miracle Gro earlier this year to take care of our lawn, I thought this would be a great opportunity to start my own little herb garden. Cooking is a passion of mine, thus, I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen. There is something so satisfying and magical about walking out to grab herbs that you’ve have nurtured yourself. Read More »

Sunshine on your mind? Yes, me too. It’s been raining in Toronto at least 4 times a week since we returned to back from our trip to Jamaica. I am looking forward to a fun and sunny summer! The kids are finally done with school, which means my hands are full at the moment.

I was on a little shopping strike, so it’s time to reward myself with a little some some. Here are a few things currently on my wish list on Amazon.ca Read More »

How to save money while grocery shopping -Freshco saving tips

*This post is in partnership with FreshCo and The Co. All opinions are 100% mine. Thank you for supporting brands that make this blog possible.

This mama loves finding quality items at great prices. Don’t we all? From clothes to food I am always happy to save whenever I can. Grocery shopping is a big part of our weekly activities. Most times, I find myself picking a few things here and there but Sunday is usually the day we complete our weekly shopping. The kids are welcome to tag along as long as they don’t bring the whole store back with us. We can all agree that living in a big city can be expensive. For that reason we must save anywhere we can. As our family grew, I started to find not only ways to save on groceries, but also finding places that offer competitive prices.

So are you ready to find out how I save money while grocery shopping? Here are a few tips

Easy Salmon recipe – Stuffed with Cream Cheese

Easy Salmon recipe - Stuffed with Cream Cheese

What can I say, I am a foodie. As much as I love take-outs, nothing beats a good homemade meal.  Most days after picking the kids from school you’ll find me in my kitchen trying to figure out dinner. I do have weekly menus that I try to follow to the teeth, but there are days where I just hop on the internet to find something to make. I am one of those cooks that hardly measures anything. If I make it once, I can make it next time with no measuring involved. For the sake of this post, I made sure everything is measured to make it easy for you to follow. This stuffed salmon is one of my absolute recipes. It easy to make and takes less than an hour. Even my husband, who’s only specialty is boiling eggs can do this one. Find the ingredients and instructions below. Read More »

Starting A Conversation With Your kids

I love when these two can get along and watch a show from beginning to end without any fight. It’s called the power of the Ipad and Netflix. Everything has changed from when we were young. Every kid now has one of these little devices on hand to keep them busy. As much as we try to reduce their online intake this is how things are headed now. They spend as much time with these little characters on their Ipad as they would with their friends. For that reason, it’s so important that we suggest shows with positive characters to help reinforce good values. I am sure you are aware that most time kids want to watch everything except what matches their proper age rating. Read More »
