Learning Made Easy with LeapFrog Academy

This summer was a busy one for our family, water park, zoo, museum, play dates, you name it, we’ve done it. We also traveled quite a bit and created plenty of memories that we will cherish for years to come. In the midst of all the fun, I had to find a way for the boys to keep their learning momentum going until school starts.

We usually get books for them during the summer time to help them prepare for the next year. If you’ve tried to get your kids to pick up a typical activity book in the middle of summer, you probably felt the pain and all the whining that comes with it.

When LeapFrog reached out about partnering up to try out their new LeapFrog Academy™ learning program on the LeapFrog Epic™ tablet, we jumped at the chance. The age range is perfect for my youngest as it works for kids ages 3-9 years old.

 LeapFrog Academy

The LeapFrog Epic™ Academy Edition tablet is a great educational tool to keep your little ones busy. The program covers everything from math, reading, science to creativity, and social skills. My kids started showing interest in electronics, more specifically computers and tablets at a young age. No surprise there, as their mother makes a living online. Even with all the outdoor activities we do, there are times during the day when they are on their own. During those times, I would rather have them incorporate screen time with learning rather than watch TV.

LeapFrog AcademyThe tablet comes with pre-loaded learning games, apps and plenty of useful features for parents. One of the features includes the ability to set a specific target grade class for your child. The activities are divided into specific categories that you can review to track your little one’s engagement. Knowing where they are spending their time at is my favorite part of the program. I am always worried about what the kids are exposed to when they go online. If you don’t have the LeapFrog Epic™ tablet, don’t worry. The LeapFrog Academy™ is also available on Android and iOS. You can sign up to receive a 1 month free of LeapFrog Academy online and access over 1000 activities to play with.

The learning categories combine clever games and videos to dispense a huge amount of material in an interactive way. You also have other free roaming categories like music, e-books and light web browsing which comes preset with websites that are child-friendly. My youngest loves the fact that he can earn points that he can later spend in the reward store. Did I mention that he thinks he is a chef now since he can create recipes and even cook them? what’s not to love! This LeapFrog Epic Academy Edition tablet was just what we needed to ease him into the school mode. He takes it everywhere.

The LeapFrog Epic™ – Academy Edition tablet is available at Toys R Us, Amazon, and Walmart
