By a show of hands how many of you have a hard time finding the perfect bra? Could it be because you’re wearing the wrong size? Or maybe you don’t know where to find it? Today, we are talking about the fabulous 2017 fall collection from Wonderbra and how to be your own kind of wonderful.
My confidence level goes from 0 to 100 when I am wearing two things, a red lipstick, and a gorgeous well-fitted bra. Oh please! Don’t tell me you never stood in front of your mirror to appreciate that new bra. I know I have, and the feeling never gets old. Read More »

I have been blogging for years. For all those years I and others have fought tooth and nail for inclusivity and better fashion for plus size women. First, some brands listened and started to make plus-sized lines. We were happy until we found out that the lines would only be carried online (insert sad face). If they were carried in the store, you had to walk into the darkest corner at the back to get them. Even then, the items in plus were different from the straight size ( insert another sad face).
I definitely fit into the stereotype of the African moms that always have food in the fridge. My kitchen is probably the place I spend the most time in my house. I love cooking, trying new recipes, and I am the happiest when the kids actually eat what I make. Today’s post is all about my favorite kitchen gadgets, trust me, I have more than I need. I use these gadgets all the time and they have made my life so much easier! Read More »
This summer was a busy one for our family, water park, zoo, museum, play dates, you name it, we’ve done it. We also traveled quite a bit and created plenty of memories that we will cherish for years to come. In the midst of all the fun, I had to find a way for the boys to keep their learning momentum going until school starts. Read More »
Phew ! We made it through the first week of school guys. The kids are still working on their sleeping patterns and I am working on making healthy lunches for them. Other than that, we are ready for an amazing year.
I wanted to start today’s post by sending plenty of love to everyone affected by the hurricanes. I was browsing through some photos last night and I could not hold my tears. These hurricanes have destroyed entire countries and nothing can give them back what they’ve lost. I hope we can all find it in our hearts to spare some clothes and money to help the victims. You can make donations here.
Stay strong and we are thinking of you.
I am starting to feel that little chill in the air. That could only mean one thing- sweater weather is here. You know what else that means? Fun Fall activities are near. Grab your baskets and prepare to be amazed by the scenery as I take you to a fun filled day at Chudleigh’s Farm. What a difference a year makes! Last year when we went apple picking, the kids were so much smaller. I never knew that documenting our little life through this blog would bring me so much joy. Read More »
I’ve sat here now for several hours trying to figure out what to write. I could tell you about this beautiful floral cold shoulder dress, but it’s the end of summer. It would be foolish of me to ask you to invest in it when we are headed colder months unless you really like it of course. I would suggest however you check my pre-Fall outfits post to get started on your Fall shopping. Since I am having a writer block I will leave things here, hoping to come back in full force on my next post. Read More »
I must admit, I love creating these lipstick posts. It’s not because of my lipstick obsession, but because I always find one or two that I have not worn in a while. Today’s post is all about Fall lipstick options that are perfect for dark skin tones. Whether it’s Fall or not, I tend to gravitate toward darker lipstick shades. It doesn’t mean that darker shades are better on dark skin, just a personal choice. The darker the color the more drama it adds to your face. The options are endless and picking only four out my collection was not easy. Read More »
