Plus size Swimwear / Bathing Suits Picks For Resort Season

I am sure you must be asking yourself why is this woman talking about bathing suits in the beginning of  January! Well, because it’s officially resort season or should I say the first swimsuit season of the year. This post is for those who are going on vacation or just preparing for summer. If you are looking for a complete guide on where to buy plus size swimsuits then check out this post I wrote here.
Grab a drink,  this is going to be a long read because I am going to be giving you options for every budget.

I have been looking for a white bathing suit for ages, I mean ages. I found a few like this one here and here, but they were a little out of my budget. I am a very patient shopper, I don’t mind waiting for the right item for the right price. I just ordered this white one from Torrid. I cannot wait to get it and I might even do a video haul of the ones I got recently.

 Budget friendly Bathing suits

Ok , enough about my life. Let’s start with the budget friendly plus size swim suits. The options are there, but keep in mind that they might only last you one or two seasons. I can see Forever 21 and I are  thinking the same because they just launched their 2015 swimsuit collection. The cuts are the same as the previous years but different prints. Here are a few I LOVE:

Another place to find affordable plus size bathing suits is Simple Be. I fell in love with this tropical bikini top and matching bottom, but not sure I can pull it off.

I told you this was going to be along post and we are not even halfway there. I made it my mission to exhaust you before you finish reading it. So, if you are out of tea or coffee go grab more and let’s continue……..

Seriously, how can you not love this suit ? It might totally look different on me but I need it. I will update this post once I get it. Torrid has some beautiful, yes beautiful options. I bought  2 sets of the high waisted swimwear from Forever 21 last year. They are very similar to above listed , but I have yet to wear them because I am still scared to take the plunge. It’s ok, you can call me a chicken. Here are few affordable options from Torrid. Now I’ve never tried any swimwear from them before, if you did, please let us know how they fit.

Now that I have given you 3 places to shop for affordable swimsuits, we are moving on to the not so affordable one(at least in my books). These bathing suits are almost all over $100, but keep in mind that they are investment pieces. These are ones you can use season after season. You get what you pay for.

One |  Two |  Three | Four
Hey Gorgeous has a small but beautiful collection of swim suits. If you want to see how number 2 looks check out this post by Stephanie.Unfortunately these suits only go up to sizes US 18.

For my ladies who love a little more coverage , I haven’t forgotten about you.
Not everyone likes to show their crotch area and that has nothing to do with confidence, just a little more privacy that’s all. Here are a few plus size swim dresses.

What is a good swimsuit without a good cover-up.You know, the one you wear to run inside , eat your lunch quickly and get back to the beach. I personally love to use the long kimonos. I think they are  better because I can wear them with my jeans, dresses and also use it at the beach. Another fun and quick way to cover your swimsuit is to use a romper or just a Pareo. ( Things we all probably have in our closets). Here are a few options

I think I am exhausted now. If you made it until the end, you are awesome !
