Closet Remix: One dress 4 ways.

When I bought this dress, I honestly had zero intention of remixing it. I think I was just happy to have found such a cute piece for only $20.The dress is made of a sheer fabric and very light which makes it perfect for hot  summer days. There are some pieces of clothes that are very hard to remix, however I always recommend buying pieces that work with a few other items in your closet. As previously mentioned, it’s after someone asked me on instagram to show them how I would style this dress that I started thinking about it.

Believe it or not, I am not the most creative person, but one thing that was working in my favor for this challenge was the color of the dress. It’s a plain dress, and I already knew that orange worked with colors like black, white, burgundy. fuchsia, navy and more…. The only challenge I really had was to keep things really simple. Here are few easy and everyday looks I came up with:
Blazers are not my favorite things to wear during summer , unless I am going to work or I really have to wear them. An alternative will be to try  a sleeveless blazer or a vest.

This look happened by accident. When I was trying the dress home, I already had jeans on. I looked in the mirror and thought that the combo was interesting.

For this look, I simply used a tiny belt to gather the dress to make it shorter.Since it was too short, I decided to add little short shorts , and a hat to complete the look.

I would like to know how you would remix this dress. Please share your ideas below.

First I love you and your site, thank you. Now I need to know what type of shoes should I wear with this dress? I am going to a Warden's Conference with my husband for a few days, should I wear heels or sandals and what can you wear under this dress so it won't be see though? Thanks

Hey Tracy, Thanks for stopping by. I would recommend wearing those spandex like shorts in black or if you have an old black legging you can just cut them into short. As for the shoes either or would work for me, but it's warm now, you can to with a cute pair of sandals with wedge (maybe). I hope this helps ……

I feel to layer this over a jersey maxi skirt with your floppy hat and a fringe vest with a thin belt over all of it for a bohemian vibe, but maybe that might be too much. lol.
