How To wear 15 Pieces 30 Different Ways

plus size capsule wardrobe fall- mycurvesandcurls
I am so excited to bring you one of the most requested posts on this blog. I haven’t done a 15 Pieces 30 Different Ways  in quite a while. And yes, I’ve promised to make an updated post a long time ago. I don’t know about you but, documenting 30 outfits for one post is exhausting. As you can see in some of the shots I had to seat down.

I’ve previously shared with you a few things I do to maximize my wardrobe. Instead for repeating the same thing, I thought it would be better to share with you a few style tricks I used in order to complete my 30 outfits this time around. I could’ve easily made another 20 outfits with these same items but, I am guessing you might get exhausted by just looking at them.
What I included in this 15 Pieces 30 Different Ways  Fall/Winter Remix (accessories not included)
1 Coat (Emerald coat option 1  option 2  option 3 )
2 Pants (Ankle pants ,  ripped denim option 1  option 2   option 3 )
1 Skirt ( Plaid pencil skirt option 1 option 2   option 3 )
2 Cardigan ( Grey, Mustard)
1 Vest ( Plaid vest option 1  option 2)
1 Dress ( Animal print dress option 1  option 2 )
1 Denim Jacket ( Denim Jacket  option 1  option 2  option 3
1 Shirt ( Plaid shirt option 1 option 2  option 3  option 4 )
2 Sweaters ( Black, Red )

Here are a few things to try the next time you step in your closet.

#Mix glam with Casual

Casual glam is basically mixing something glamourous such  as a sequin or feather skirt with something casual like a plaid shirt. Look 24 might not be perfect mix of casual glam but, it certainly gives you an idea of what you can achieve with this trick. In this case, I used the necklace as my glam piece and the beanie as the casual piece.

#Wear your denim jacket as a top

I am actually amazed at the fact that I never thought about buttoning up my denim jacket. You should try it.Related: 3 ways to rock your cover-up off the beach

#Don’t be afraid to mix prints and patterns.

If you’ve been a long time reader of this blog,  you already know how much I love mixing prints and patterns. I think it’s great way to play with your clothes and step out of your comfort zone. You don’t have to be good at something in order to give it a shot.

#Wear your cardigan as a stand alone top

Who knew? better yet, wear a cardigan on top of a sweater like I’ve done in look 25. This is something I do all the time especially during fall. I prefer both pieces to be a little light to prevent me from looking bulky or sweat to death.

#Borrow from the boys

When I was younger the choice for plus size clothing was so limited that I started shopping from the men section. Everyone thought I was a tomboy but, the truth is I had not choice. I bought my cardigan from the Philip lim for Target men collection. The scarf and hat are also for men. A masculine shaped item add a different flair to my outfits. If you’ve never  tried anything from your husband, boyfriend’s closet, I dare you to try. Remember this post ? I bet everyone loved it because of the shape of that cute blazer.
Now I want to know which look is your favourite? Have you tried any of these tricks before ?

You put so much thought and work into this post – thank you! Wonderful ideas and outfits. I love your cardigan on cardigan looks, and wearing a jacket as a top (not necessarily a denim one!) as a top was something I did all the time when I was younger. I think I'll do it again some day soon. 🙂

I like that you used NOT neutral colors!! My sister and I are about to try this and most of my pieces are BLACK bc I figured it'd be easiest!! Maybe I'll try to mix it up next time!

I just got here through a pin of this on Pinterest. Initially I thought it was an oops because all those clothes couldn't possibly be a capsule wardrobe! One of the few times a ton of outfits don't obviously look like they come from the same few items. Wow, just wow!
