I am going to Toronto fashion week Spring/Summer 2014

Hola ladies !!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. If you’ve seen my last post you already know I had a wonderful time with the hubby and kids at the pumpkin patch. This post was due this morning but I completely refused to touch my computer this past Sunday. I have finally decided to attend my very first Toronto fashion week. Believe it or not ,I have never ever been to a major fashion week before.I never did because to be honest I was not interested. There are different kind of fashion lovers out there, those who know all the designer’s names, carry all the latest designers items , and might faint when they meet Karl Lagerfeld lol. I fall among the fashion lovers who love to dress up, buy anything that’s pretty whether it’s $5 or $100. I never really cared to go because I always reminded myself about how expensive the clothes were. It’s also not hard to see the clothes these days because every look is posted minutes after they hit the runway. The last reason was that all the major fashion weeks have really became the play pen for bloggers. Everyone trying to show their outfits and looking weird at times . Am I the only one who thinks that fashion weeks have became more about the street styles than the fashion shows?
I have decided to be open minded this year and give it a try. I would like to network a bit, and on the bright side I might meet some cool Canadian bloggers , fashion editors, or just normal mummies like myself. I do not know half of the designers I am going to see but I am looking forward in seeing their work. There are two shows I am most definitely  excited about: The Joe fresh and Target shows. Now these are  brands I know I can afford and I know would be sold in stores. At the end of this week I will be picking up my press pass and get ready to go. I will be sharing my experience on twitter and put a few pictures on instagram. I also have a big giveaway coming up tomorrow, I hope you all enter it because it’s worth it. Here is what I am wearing:
Coat:  Anne Klein love this one | Shirt: Penningtons | Pants: Jay Manuel for Sears Canada wore it last here| Shoes: Nine west very similar here | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target |Necklace: Urban Planet similar here | Shades: Ebay | Lipstick: Cherry bomb by Wet’n wiild Megalast collection

You know, it's really funny you mention this post. A lot of bloggers that I followed and fell in love with because of their simple street style are now attending fashion weeks & posting "daily outfits" that you can tell are not their style & they look awkward or uncomfortable in their own skin/clothes. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for change, evolving, stepping outside the box, getting out of your comfort zone, etc. But….*sigh* I just don't know lol

I hope you have a great time at the show! I'm not interested in it because it's usually pieces no one would wear or could barely afford. Honestly, I'm into street style more than what's on the runways.

Lol only the celebs and the rich people can afford the fashion from the runway. The rest of us only admire. I am way more inspired by the street styles too.

      Salut Ma belle !
There is absolutely no reason to picture something you are not. My family and friends also read this blog so I will be lying to myself lol . I would love to see the fashion but mainly network with other people.

I feel the same why about loving fashion and loving style. I fall in the style category. I love putting clothes together and finding great items at any price. I mean, I can kick some knowledge about fashion and its designers but it's not really my passion, per se.

Anywho, LOVE your outfit! Those pants are IT.
