30 stylish Plus Size Transitional Pieces For Fall

Whether you’re counting down the weeks until sweater weather or hoping summer could hang just a bit more, it’s safe to say we’re now in that awkward, in-between stage. It’s hard to find something to wear because the weather is unpredictable. For instance yesterday Toronto beats temperature record at 32 degrees Celsius. So do not put away your summer clothes yet, instead try to be creative by mixing and matching or layering them with other lightweight pieces when the weather cools down. Some of my favorite transitional pieces are trenchcoats (black, and camel), utility jackets, lightweight cardigans, ankle boots, scarves, denim shirts, long sleeve dresses, white shirts, pretty printed blouses, flannel shirts, etc. Read More »

How to wear a Gingham top 9 ways

How to wear a Gingham top 9 ways- one item 3 ways- mycurvesandcurls.com

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a closet remix post here. Well, the arrival of IGTV kind of put me in the mood to start again. Filming a vertical video on my phone with minimal editing is a definite game changer. I know you guys love these posts because there is usually a look for everyone. The last time I was in the US, which was just 2 weeks ago I went to Target to pick up a few things. I was lucky to find this beautiful gingham top from the Who What Wear for Target collection on clearance. Since it was only $12 I picked it up with a few other pieces.  Read More »

Trendy Plus Size Rompers and Jumpsuits

I’ve finally decided to write an extensive post about plus size rompers and jumpsuits.. I know they are not everyone’s cup of tea because they can be  quite intimidating. Today, I would like to address the two main questions I get from you guys. The first is “where to buy plus size rompers and jumpsuits?”. The second is  “how to find the right one for your shape and size?” I am actually shocked that I never addressed  those questions in any of my previous posts. Well ! It’s never too late.

Where to buy plus size rompers and Jumpsuits

The answer is everywhere. Almost all the retailers I shop from (Eloquii, Nordstrom, Forever 21, Reitmans, Addition Elle, New York & Co, Old Navy, Asos, Amazon, H&M)  carry them at the some point in time during the year. Read More »

How To Wear A Monochromatic Outfit Like A Pro

How To Wear Monochromatic like A Pro

How to wear monochromatic like a pro? I don’t think I am a pro at this, but based on the few times I’ve worn a monochromatic outfit I think I can share a few tips with you. I wore this beauty a few weeks ago, edited the photos and forgot about it until I had a conservation with a friend today about pleated skirts. If you ever thought you could not wear them because of your midsection, I am living proof that you can. Here is the thing, I always get my pleated skirts from straight size stores such as H&M or Zara. Why? because the skirts have a lot to give but take me in at the same time. Read More »

3 Ways To Wear burgundy Pants To Work This Fall

Cardigan/ Cami/ Pants  c/o Reitmans

I have been blogging for years. For all those years I and others have fought tooth and nail for inclusivity and better fashion for plus size women. First, some brands listened and started to make plus-sized lines. We were happy until we found out that the lines would only be carried online (insert sad face). If they were carried in the store, you had to walk into the darkest corner at the back to get them. Even then, the items in plus were different from the straight size ( insert another sad face).

Fast forward to 2017 and enter Reitmans. One of the few brands that took note and made changes. Now, Reitmans carries clothing up to 3x both online and in STORE. Read More »

Floral Cold Shoulder

I’ve sat here now for several hours trying to figure out what to write. I could tell you about this beautiful floral cold shoulder dress, but it’s the end of summer. It would be foolish of me to ask you to invest in it when we are headed colder months unless you really like it of course. I would suggest however you check my pre-Fall outfits post to get started on your Fall shopping. Since I am having a writer block I will leave things here, hoping to come back in full force on my next post. Read More »

Joe Fresh Plus Size Line Review

Joe Fresh extended line- Fall editionWhen I heard the news that Canadian clothing retailer, Joe Fresh was launching a plus size line or I should say extending their line for its fall collection, I was excited, to say the least. I have squeezed myself in many of their pieces in the past so the news that some of the new merchandises will go up to size 3x was absolute music to my ears.

As a visible fat woman, plus size, whatever you want to call it, it’s always a win when a brand decides to add a plus size line or better yet simply extend their original line. It’s an acknowledgment that women like me love fashion and deserve to look good. And….. nothing like a one stop shop, grocery, and clothes shopping will be completed together.

A beautiful cloudy day at the most beautiful location ever! I just came back from a press trip from Grey County Ontario. For someone who has never been to a winery, I was very excited to say the least. I will share my travel experience with you in the next coming weeks.
