SHOP THE TREND: Plaid options for plus size women

Plaids are so in this season. I see them everywhere, and for once the plus size fashion stores have picked up on this trend  quickly. Eloquii has an amazing collection. Plaid is a wardrobe staple during the fall season, whether it’s a pair of shoes, coats or scarves.

Fall Ankle Boots Under ($100)

When it comes to fall shopping ankle boots are always on my list of thing to get. Over the years, I have accumulated a few pairs, but you can never have enough. There are hot colors and styles every year. This season, for instance, white boots are really hot. I just got a pair from Payless but not sure how I feel about them just yet. Below, I am sharing some of my favorite ankle boots and the good news is they are all under $100.

If you wear a size 12 or more I would also suggest checking Dorothy Perkins,  Zappos, Nordstrom, and long Tall Sally.

My visit to Toronto plus size store ” Your Big Sister’s Closet”

   I’ve really enjoyed being behind the lense lately. After being photographed at least twice week for the last few years, I am loving working on the other side of the camera. I was very excited when Karen Ward from The Curvy Canadian and co-owner of Your Big Sister’s Closet extended an invitation to visit her store.Your big Sister’s Closet is a plus size boutique/store located in Toronto, Ontario. The store so beautifully set up, and is filled with racks of color coordinated skirts, fit and flare dresses, accessories, and more……. Their clothes cater to women sizes 12US to 24 US in select styles.As you can see in pictures above I played dress up for a few hours. Oh! By the way, I also met the sweetest saleswoman also a blogger over at Not Afraid To Wear Heels. I am really glad I visited the store and I can’t wait to go back. As much as I love shopping online and in department stores, I am equally all for supporting our local stores. Karen is such an inspiring woman.She is not one who only sat and complained about the lack of diversity in clothing in Canada, but actually did something about it. Women’s plus line now available on OldNavy.ca !

Hey loves, In case you are not already aware , I am  happy to report that Old Navy has launched their women’s plus line in Canada. If you are a big fan of old Navy like I am, then you must be jumping off your chair too. Yes, we, full figured Canadian women will finally be able to buy trendy plus size dresses, jeans, tops, skirts and more from Oldnavy.ca right out of the comfort of our own homes. I usually shop in store and most items that are size XXL would fit me, so shopping on oldnavy.ca will be a new experience for me as well.

Summer is almost over, but this sequined chiffon tank is too cute to pass by.The mustard cross body tassel bag, and the twill surplus-Style Vest are definite must haves for me. As for the wide-Calf boots I’ve added both to my list because I cannot decide on the colour yet. My list would not be completed without a pair of slim boyfriend jeans. Although this is not part of the women’s line , I have been eyeing this Women’s belted jersey maxi dress for a while. It comes in four colours, but honestly I would not mind having all 4 of them.
