After the holidays, I remembered that I had not hit the gym within the last three weeks. Say what? You and I both know that it can be tough to be motivated to hit the gym during the holidays. Come to think of it the weather has not been great either. I am still feeling a little guilty to have fallen off the wagon. Until now, I’ve been able to maintain my routine even if it was for 30 minutes a day.I try not to be hard on myself. Besides, I did a lot of walking at the mall hunting for gifts. There’s nothing like cute plus size workout clothes to give you extra motivation! However, function trumps everything else when I am exercising. Thankfully many of my favorite plus size brands now have an incredible amount of comfortable, functional, affordable workout and activewear.

The beginning of the year is a great time to update my workout clothes. Every year more and more brands add plus size activewear to their lines. Believe it or not 10 years ago finding a great pair of plus size yoga pants was a hustle. Old Navy has always been my go to when it comes to finding the best plus size workout clothes. I love that they have cute items for any season and all body types. They are certainly not the only one Plus size brands who make activewear that actually fits you. Addition Elle, Lane Bryant , Torrid, Fashion to Figure, Avenue , Forever 21 , Winners, Target are all great places to find plus size activewear.

Did I tell I am in love with my Gear Fit2? I wonder what life was before I started tracking all my activities. The Gear Fit2 is a fitness watch that tracks everything including calorie intake, sleep, heart rate, workouts, steps taken to name a few. With the internal storage (4GB), I can store my music and listen to my favorite tunes while working out. The Gear Fit2 acts as a fitness and Smartwatch. A Lot of time I do not want to carry my phone around the gym, I am still able to get email and social media notifications.I have a Samsung Note 5, with the S-health app, my workouts are automatically logged on the device. I can set goals for myself and believe me; I feel so good when I am notified that I have reached my daily step goals.
As far battery life is concerned, you can get a good three days of use, if you’re not using Bluetooth. The watch retails for about 150 CAD. It’s a very nice gear to keep on top of your fitness goals. Do you own any smarth watch ? How you like it ?
