Are you a plus-size woman wondering what to wear to the beach? You may have searched Google for answers and come across advice like “wear dark colors” or “stick to one-piece swimsuits.” But the truth is, you should wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Personal style is all about self-expression, and everyone should have the freedom to wear what they like.
That said, if you’re looking for some outfit inspiration, I’m here to help. This post is a continuation of my previous article on 10 places to buy plus-size resort wear, but this time I’m providing some outfit ideas to inspire your beachwear wardrobe. I’ve included links to each item, but the goal is for you to get creative and make the outfits your own.
4 Plus Size Denim Pieces You Need In Your Wardrobe This Spring
March 9, 2023Well, there is a reason why I’m not particularly eager to get rid of my clothes because trends always come back. Have you noticed the rise of denim on the runway and the streets in the past few months? I have, and I am here for it. Nothing beats a good denim-on-denim outfit, aka Canadian tuxedo, especially when you have nothing to wear.
Unlike other trends, when plus-size women have to wait a couple of years before getting pieces, this one is pretty available because denim is always trendy. As usual, before purchasing any of the pieces below, check your local thrift shops first for some cool vintage pieces.
If you are searching for plus-size denim pieces to add to your wardrobe this spring and summer, you will love some options below.
Got an October wedding and don’t know what to wear? I got you. Most of the weddings I attended in my life were during the summer months, so I hardly think what I would wear if I were invited to a Fall wedding. That ends today!
When it comes to wedding guest dresses, there are a few features that I always look for. First is the material, and since we are talking about fall wedding guest dresses, it’s best to go with something on a heavier side. The second is the silhouette; mid to floor-length would be ideal. Last but not least is the sleeve’s length and neckline. Unless you are planning to layer your dress, I’d stick with dresses that have a bit of coverage. As usual, these are only suggestions, you are free to wear whatever you are comfortable with, and that makes you feel your best.
Happy Monday, friend! Two posts within one week? who am I? Well, the truth is, I am slowly finding joy in writing and sharing more of my outfits here again. For the last few years, I almost abandoned this space to focus more time on building my social media presence. Happy to report that I will be more present here moving forward, and I hope those of you who have been here for a while will stick around.
Fall is around the corner! I cannot be the only one thinking, “It was spring just a few days ago.” As much as I adore summer, fall always gets me excited because of all the fashion options. I am excited to work with Nordstrom Canada again to share some fall wardrobe essentials and must-haves with you. If you have not checked the store or shopped online recently, Nordstrom Canada has stepped up their games when it comes plus-size fashion and size 12 shoe options. You know those are the first two sections I check, then move on to the other part of the stores. The Halogen and Open Edit brands have a lot more options now too.
It’s been a while time since I shared an activewear post. With it being the 3rd week of the new year, now seems like the perfect time to do so. I like to purge and update my workout gear around this time of the year because there are a lot of deals and options available. Also, what’s a better motivator to workout than a cute activewear set?
Although the gyms are currently closed in Ontario, I still do my best to work out at home at least 30 minutes a day.
Guess who is back with another Plus size shacket post? You loved the first one so much that I had to come back for a second round. Most of the options in the first post are sold out. Today, I will share more plus-size shackets with y’all and a few ways to wear them. If you care less about how to style your plus size shackets scroll down to the bottom of the post to find some options
Assuming you are very new to this trend, you first need to determine if you want a long or short shacket, then, think about color and fabrics. I love the long ones because they look good with bottoms, jeans, leggings, skirts, and even dresses. The most popular shackets are usually plaid, reasons why they are very trendy around the fall season. They are super cute, but I get more wear out of the plain ones, and I can wear them in fall, winter, and spring. The shacket trend is here to stay for at least another season or two, so if you like them I recommend getting one on time for next spring and fall.
