Happy Monday, friend! Two posts within one week? who am I? Well, the truth is, I am slowly finding joy in writing and sharing more of my outfits here again. For the last few years, I almost abandoned this space to focus more time on building my social media presence. Today we are talking about plus-size Shackets, where to find them, and how to style them. A Shacket is a cross between a shirt and a jacket. It reminds me a bit of the oversized flannel shirt of the 90s, only this time it’s a bit heavier and more structured. They emerged last year and I thought they would go away after a couple of seasons, but from the look of it, shackets are here to stay.

You can pretty much style shackets with everything from dresses, and faux leather leggings to jeans. They are as versatile as the classic trench coat but more laid-back. I love layering mine over a t-shirt and jeans, especially around this time of the year when the weather is a bit chilly. Can plus size women wear shackets?

Absolutely! I know as plus-size women, we tend to stay away from anything bulky or oversized, but I assure you, you will look gorgeous in a shacket. If you are still a bit worried, opt for something tight or thin underneath, like a tee or turtleneck, as I did with this outfit. Also, opt for a longer length if you can so that the bulk is not all focused on your torso.
