Happy Tuesday, Friends! Super excited to share with you the first-ever tween collection for the 10-13-year-old crew, brought to you by POPSUGAR x Old Navy. We are still unsure whether the boys will be going to school this Fall; nonetheless, I am preparing them as if it were a regular year. Besides, I think both of them have gone through a growth spurt this summer, and their pants are getting shorter by the day.
Are you a good gifter? I am asking because I feel like every year I struggle to find the perfect gift for the adults in my family. Hence the reason why I rarely do gift guides on this blog. I promise you, the longer you know someone the harder it is to find a gift for them. Adults like what they like and that rarely changes. On the other hand, kids are easier to please in my book because as they grow every year their interests also change. That means you have a million toys to choose from.
Happy Tuesday loves! Hope you are having a great week. ours started with a little hiccup. Last night one of the boys and another boy at basketball headbutted each other while trying to get the ball. Well, let’s just say my boy ended up at the emergency room with the biggest wound on his head and blood gushing everywhere. The scariest thing ever! He is now doing better thank God.
A few days from now, the kids are heading back to school. This was probably one of the fastest summers ever! It seems like school just ended a week ago. This is an exciting time for the kids as they are looking forward to meeting their friends and rocking new stuff. I cannot wait to hear the kid’s stories about their new friends, class, and teachers.
Although I am not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet, It’s time to start thinking about back to school. My boys are growing up so fast that I can hardly keep up with their wardrobe. I swear all the pants that fit just two months ago have turned into ankle pants, and all of the long sleeves that were long in January are now quarter length at best. Thankfully, my oldest can pass his clothes to his brother, which saves me a lot of money. Phewww
Do you ever feel like every time you blink, your kids grow an inch? My boys—Iby, 10, and Fadio, 7—have already outgrown the pants and shorts I bought for them at the beginning of the school year. With our vacation coming up, along with lots of family excursions to the museum, beach and amusement parks, I thought it was time to head to Marshalls to pick up a few trendy pieces for the boys that would mix and match well with their wardrobe staples. The goal was to create cute and comfortable looks that would work for all the summer adventures ahead of us. While I don’t believe in spending a fortune on kids’ clothing (they grow up so fast!), I do love to freshen up their looks every season. Marshalls is one of the best places to do that because it has new inventory every week and you can shop on a budget.
