A few weeks ago my friend Mo from Miss Lion Hunter and I escaped to an amazing trip to the Dominican Republic with Sunwing Vacations. I don’t remember the last time I’ve had a girlfriend getaway, so this opportunity was definitely welcomed with open arms. I caught the travel bug at a young age since my mother worked for the tourism board of Mali and traveled around the world almost half of the year. Though I only have pictures to remember those days, I feel the best when I am away exploring other cultures or simply lying on the beach getting my melanin on point. Read More »

I few weeks before my trip to Punta Cana With Sunwing vacations, I started looking around for cover ups. I wanted a fun and colorful one that I could wear both in and out of the beach. Sadly, the ones that really caught my eyes did not come in my size. I am sure you know the rest of the story. Frustration and anger started to get the best of me. To think that in 2017 we still can’t find what we love when it comes to clothing is unbelievable. With my minimal sewing skills, I made one for myself and this is the result. It was inspired by this Pom-pom Trim Beach Cover-up that Merrick Art made a few years back. Check out her post for all the instructions on how to make your own cover up. Feel free to also check these stores on Etsy for some options. Read More »
I am writing this post as I head back to Toronto from an amazing week at the beautiful CHIC Punta Cana resort. CHIC Punta Cana is an adults only all inclusive luxury resort in the Dominican Republic. If you follow my Insta Stories, I am sure you’ve had a glimpse of our room and the entire resort. I have a lot to share with you about my experience at CHIC Punta Cana, but first, let’s talk about our junior suite. The resort has 323 suites all designed with couples and or friends in mind. Our contemporary junior suite was everything we needed to unwind and relax in after a combined 8 hours trip with Sunwing Vacations and leaving the -15 in Toronto.

I am getting ready to take my flight this afternoon for sunny Punta Cana with Sunwing vacations. Pinch me twice ! Spring break couldn’t have been a better time, especially with the nasty weather we’ve been having as of late. Many of you had questions regarding a few of the things I packed for the trip. Since I could not answer to all the questions on my instatories, I thought I would share some of my favorite swimsuits, bags, sandals, basically everything you need for a tropical vacation. Do you have a travel wish list ? Every year I make a long list of places I would love to visit with my family or by myself. Unfortunately, I don’t make it to every place on my list due to lack of time and or money.Traveling and decorating our home are two things I am planning to invest and focus on this year.Today, I’m sharing a few travel destinations I would love to visit in 2017. The list includes cities from around the world and within Canada. I must confess that going through airports is not my fave thing to do, especially with recent events. Last year was fantastic; we were able to go to New York, Mont Tremblant, Great Wolf Lodge as a family. I went to Dubai with my sister, and Boston to visit my family. Not bad for a year.

Are you headed on a little winter getaway on a tropical island? With the weather reaching well over -10 degrees these days, everyone is headed somewhere tropical. I have no vacation plans so far, however that won’t stop me from daydreaming. “On vacation, you can wear all the colorful and casual clothing that you like, but you must always be elegant” Christian Dior. I could not agree more with the above statement. Vacation is the time to let loose, but
Over the holidays, we traveled to Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls. After hearing so much about this amazing place, we finally decided to take some time off to have fun with the kids. December is a birth month of my first son, what is a better gift than having a good time an entire weekend in a place that is geared toward kids. I can’t wait to tell you all about our trip in an upcoming post, but first, can we talk about our fabulous room? Read More »
Happy New Year loves ! I hope you all had a fantastic end of year. I’ve been a little M.I.A as of late because I am not a fan of the end of the year. Ever since I reached my 30s, I go through some anxiety especially during the last week of December. I always think about all the things I could have accomplished the last 12 months. Time never waits for anyone. With that being said, I still grateful for all the opportunities I received over the last year.

Visiting Dubai for the first time ? There are so many things you need to know before you book your ticket. I visited Dubai last May and it was one of the most beautiful cities i’ve been to so far. The laws and culture are very different from what I am used to, but that never stopped me from taking this trip of a lifetime. When you love traveling as much as I do, you have to be open minded and very receptive of other cultures. This list is based on what I’ve observed and learned from tour guides during my trip.
Greetings ladies and gents, I’m CD – the better half of Assa. I glad she finally gave me a little corner on her blog to share with you my love of cars.
