Right before I started writing this post, I saw a very interesting post on my instagram feed here. The post was about fact that many of us let ourselves be fooled because we have a certain number of followers on social media. After I re-posted the post on my feed, I asked my followers the following question:
” After you turn off your facebook, instagram, twitter, blog, are you still happy with your life and the things you’ve accomplished ? “
When you pick up your kids from school, when you cook your family’s favorite meals, when you take care of your husband/wife/partner, when you assist your friends in time of need, when you donate that blood at the hospital, how you treat people to name a few. So let me ask you again, when you turn off your computer are you happy with your yourself , and your life?

July 28, 2014 at 9:06 pmI agree I miss the old blogging days when people didn't start blogging for popularity/money/free stuff…when it was all about fashion. I definitely love who I am offline…..taking care of my Husband and my puppy, spending time with my family, always looking forward to reading a new book, and working in a rewarding career. This dress looks amazing on you!

July 30, 2014 at 11:50 amAgreed Assa! Living your 'real life' is what matters most! I am at my happiest when I am 'logged off' 🙂 I take breaks from social media outlets regularly; I insist on making the time to live in the moment and to create new, un-captured/'un-liked' memories with the individuals who encompass my life and add meaningful value.
