Mini Leather Skirt

A leather skirt is a go-to staple around this time of the year. Not only does it keep you warm, it’s also a versatile piece that is trendy and fashion-forward. While doing my weekly thrifting last week I stumble upon two brand new leather skirts from Danier. I was shocked to say the least because I never knew Danier carried any size over XL. Both skirts were a size US 24 but different lengths. Obviously they are not true to size but my luck because they both fit me perfectly. 

I cannot stress enough the importance of checking your local thrift shop for unique and vintage pieces. I know thrifting is not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s the only way for me to keep my style unique and rock items that are no longer available to the mass. Both of my plus size leather skirts were well over $200 because they were brand new and got them for $16 each. Chin chin!

 

How to Wear Plus Size Leather Skirts

There are some many ways to wear your leather skirt. They pair well with most pieces especially if there is clash of textures. Take my outfit for instance, I mixed my leather skirt with a plus long sleeve ruffle blouse and velvet Ankle boots. Not seen in the photo I also had on  a burgundy coat. The mix of velvet and leather made the outfit much more interesting.
