Walmart Gift guide – Gift for my Boys

our PJs are available at Walmart.

It’s getting close to Christmas! Insert panic mode. Have you started shopping yet? The weeks are flying by and the last thing you want to do is wait until the last minute. Believe me, I know. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to explain to the kids I couldn’t get my hands on one of the hottest toys of the year yet: the fingerlings.

In the meantime, I got my hands on plenty of other fun gifts for the boys from Walmart Canada that I know they will enjoy this holiday season and for years to come.

We love Christmas in our house and normally I start planning what to buy the children months in advance. I pay attention to their conversations, pay attention to the toys they always gravitate toward while we are scouring the shelves, and I also pay attention to what other parents recommend.

Walmart Gift guide – Gift for my Boys

Let’s face it. It’s the most magical time of the year but it can also be stressful especially for those with a long list. That’s why you need to plan before you head to the store (or online). Walmart offers amazing on-trend Christmas gifts for everyone on your list, not only toys. I could tell you about all the beauty gift sets, cozy matching family PJs and must-have electronics but for the sake of today’s post, we are going to focus on gifts for the kids – toys! When the kids are taken care of, we can all sleep soundly at night.

Here are just some gift ideas for kids I found this year and had to share –

It seems as though there is a new board game on the market every month. In-store, Walmart has dedicated section for games and there are tons to shop for online. Chances are you own a few or all of the above, but if you don’t, you must get them all because the prices are great. These games are also games you will use year after year. I am super excited for the kids to try Battleship game. This was a suggestion from my husband. He used to play it when he was young and thought it would be great for the boys. Battleship is not only a fun game; it’s also a great way to help your children to learn to be strategic and logical in their thinking. We also picked up Clue and Connect4 – the three board games retail for less than $18 each.

Mayka Toy Block Tapes are the real deal

My kids are big fans of LEGO and building blocks. I have, quite honestly, lost count on the number of sets they own at this point. But I do know is that I step on them from time to time and it hurts. I am thinking of building a little area in their playroom where they can keep all the small pieces away from my feet and work on their creativity. This is where Mayka Toy Block tape ($8) comes in. You can cut them, bend them, stick them on any surface and they are compatible with Lego, Mega Bloks, Kreo and all other leading toy block brands. They literally turn any surface into a base for building creations. Get them and watch your kids build mini-cities, petting zoos and so much more.

 MagCreator 3D Magnetic construction

The MagCreator Magnetic Construction Building Set ($45) will encourage my boys to use math and science and their imagination to build all kinds of creations – I know this is something they will enjoy, and keep them entertained for hours.

Sky Rover Stalker Helicopter & Star Wars: Rogue One Electronic Duel Imperial Death Trooper

If your kids enjoy remote controlled toys, Sky Rover Stalker Helicopter ($25) is a must have! No-need to step outside into the cold as this toy helicopter is for indoor only. As for the Rogue One Electronic Duel Imperial Death Trooper ($30), well if your kids like Star Wars, they will love Storm Troopers. Kids can squeeze the legs to activate the guard’s blaster with light effects and authentic battle sounds!

Sharpie Special Edition 30 Pack Markers

This was a special buy for the kids and myself. We all love colouring, so when I saw the Sharpie Special Edition 30 Pack Markers for only $16 I had to buy it.  This set has a nice variety of colours in fine and superfine tips.

There you have it, friends, a full list of gifts I got for the kids on just one trip to Walmart – all at great prices. And if you can’t make it in-store, make sure to check out Walmart.ca – making holiday shopping super easy and convenient!

Remember to get them now before the rush.
