Happy December friends! I hope you had a wonderful week. I intended to finish my holiday decor last month. I know, I’ve talked about getting the tree out a while back, but life happened. Either way today we are not going to talk about my house decor instead we are going to talk about gift ideas from one of my favourite Canadian stores, Reitmans. Read More »
Christmas
The countdown is officially on. We are only four days away from Christmas. I am 90% percent done with my shopping, and I intend to finish everything by the end of tomorrow. Today, I went out of my way to survey some of you on my Instagram to share some gift ideas for your children’s teachers. The goal of the post was to help me figure out what to give my kids’ teachers this year. The response has been massive and somewhat surprising. There were plenty of ideas I had never thought of before. I was also surprised with the fact that many of my followers were teachers themselves. Read More »
The holidays are just around the corner! I don’t want to get you worried or anything, but we are just 16 days away from Christmas. This is where you insert panic mode for those of us who are a little behind in our gift shopping. The good news is, we finally got our tree and decorations up from the basement to the family room this week. This year, I’ve decided to let the kids and their dad decorate the big tree while I take care of other things like shopping, and organizing the house for family gatherings. Read More »
I am recycling this post from last year. Unfortunately I’ve been busy with life this week and did not have time to shoot any of my outfits for the blog. There are so many plus size holiday dresses available right now. It’s always important to buy pieces that would last you beyond the party season. I can’t tell you how much I love this fit and flare Dress. Unfortunately, it only goes up to a size 20. I have linked to Fit and Flare dresses below and also other dresses you can wear now and later. Here we are, my very first-holiday gift guide of the 2021 – and it’s from Nordstrom Canada. No surprises there because you know shopping at Nordstrom is my jam! Honestly, I cannot believe we are headed to 2022. Like what? This year flew by, but the good news is we are just a few weeks away from the most “wonderful time of year.” The time where we get to create even more memories with our family, eat a lot of food, and exchange gifts for those who celebrate Christmas.
Like in previous years, I like to beat the crowd and get my gifts and everything I need ahead of time to spend as much time enjoying the holidays as possible. This is not the year to be last minute as there are shipping delays, and you don’t want to be the person that blames Santa.
The holiday party season is almost underway so if you are looking for festive outfits or plus-size party outfit ideas in general, you’ve clicked on the right post. When it comes to holiday party outfits there is nothing new under the sun but every year we still look for new ideas to look fabulous and that’s where I come in. I scoured the web the internet to find amazing plus-size holiday pieces, styled them, so you can use your time for something else. I purposely left out plus-size holiday dresses from this post because I wanted to show you all the possibilities. You’ll also notice that most of the looks are on the casual side, that is because we are still in a pandemic and most parties would be within family settings or with very close friends. Without further ado here are four looks to take you to any party this year.
It is that time of the year and I am not talking about Christmas. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is in full swing and I am here to share with you my picks from everything from the plus-size to the shoe section. This event is Nordstrom’s biggest, and most popular sales event of the year. It is a great way to stock up for the Fall season at a discounted rate. Nordstrom Canada is one of my favorite places to shop. First, because they are one of the few stores that carry size 12 shoes in Canada, second the service is always impeccable. For instance, when a piece of clothing or shoe isn’t available in my size in the store they always do their best to find it and ship it to my home for free!
Happy to be kicking off the holiday shopping post series. You’re probably thinking it’s not even Thanksgiving yet why are we talking about plus size holiday party dresses? Well for one, I find myself dressing up way more than usual during the last two months of the year. With countless of parties (Thanksgiving family dinners, office get-togethers, cocktails, Christmas parties) on the horizon, the last thing I want to do is to worry about is what I am going to wear. If you’re already stressing over what to wear to all the parties happening and looking for a dress option then you’ve come to the right place.
Are you a good gifter? I am asking because I feel like every year I struggle to find the perfect gift for the adults in my family. Hence the reason why I rarely do gift guides on this blog. I promise you, the longer you know someone the harder it is to find a gift for them. Adults like what they like and that rarely changes. On the other hand, kids are easier to please in my book because as they grow every year their interests also change. That means you have a million toys to choose from.
