Learning Made Easy with LeapFrog Academy

This summer was a busy one for our family, water park, zoo, museum, play dates, you name it, we’ve done it. We also traveled quite a bit and created plenty of memories that we will cherish for years to come. In the midst of all the fun, I had to find a way for the boys to keep their learning momentum going until school starts. Read More »

Fall Transitional Wish List | Plus Size

Fall Transitional Wish List | Plus Size- Wide leg-mycurvesandcurls

Phew ! We made it through the first week of school guys. The kids are still working on their sleeping patterns and I am working on making healthy lunches for them. Other than that, we are ready for an amazing year.

I wanted to start today’s post by sending plenty of love to everyone affected by the hurricanes. I was browsing through some photos last night and I could not hold my tears. These hurricanes have destroyed entire countries and nothing can give them back what they’ve lost. I hope we can all find it in our hearts to spare some clothes and money to help the victims. You can make donations here.

Stay strong and we are thinking of you.

Apple Picking At Chudleigh’s Farm

I am starting to feel that little chill in the air. That could only mean one thing- sweater weather is here.  You know what else that means? Fun Fall activities are near. Grab your baskets and prepare to be amazed by the scenery as I take you to a  fun filled day at Chudleigh’s Farm. What a difference a year makes! Last year when we went apple picking, the kids were so much smaller. I never knew that documenting our little life through this blog would bring me so much joy. Floral Cold Shoulder

I’ve sat here now for several hours trying to figure out what to write. I could tell you about this beautiful floral cold shoulder dress, but it’s the end of summer. It would be foolish of me to ask you to invest in it when we are headed colder months unless you really like it of course. I would suggest however you check my pre-Fall outfits post to get started on your Fall shopping. Since I am having a writer block I will leave things here, hoping to come back in full force on my next post. Read More »

4 perfect Fall Lipsticks For Dark Skin Women

Fall Lipsticks For Dark Skin Women- Assa Cisse

I must admit, I love creating these lipstick posts. It’s not because of my lipstick obsession, but because I always find one or two that I have not worn in a while. Today’s post is all about Fall lipstick options that are perfect for dark skin tones.  Whether it’s Fall or not, I tend to gravitate toward darker lipstick shades. It doesn’t mean that darker shades are better on dark skin, just a personal choice. The darker the color the more drama it adds to your face. The options are endless and picking only four out my collection was not easy. Read More »

Toronto’s Newest Water Park: Wet’n’wild

If you’re looking for a place to get wet and keep the kids busy this summer, you must visit Toronto’s newest water park,  Wet’n’Wild. A place for the entire family to swim, drink, eat and swim some more. Those of you who follow my Insta Stories must have had a glimpse of our fun day at the park. When it comes to amusement parks, whether it’s indoor or outdoor water parks are my favorite.  First, because there is nothing better than being in the water on a hot summer day. Second, because I am not a big fan of thrill rides. Insert all day spent at the lazy river. Read More »

Where To eat In Toronto: Kellys Landing

The Landing Cure

I love discovering new restaurants to eat at in the city. The food scene in Toronto is one of the best in the world. There is always somewhere new to go, something new to try. Last week, I was invited to taste the delicious food and drinks at Kellys Landing Bar Grill Hub located just a few feet away from the Union Station in downtown Toronto. Such a convenient spot for those of us who live outside of the city. The proximity of the restaurant to the Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre also makes it the perfect place to grab a meal or enjoy pre-or-post-game entertainment. Read More »

Joe Fresh Plus Size Line Review

Joe Fresh extended line- Fall editionWhen I heard the news that Canadian clothing retailer, Joe Fresh was launching a plus size line or I should say extending their line for its fall collection, I was excited, to say the least. I have squeezed myself in many of their pieces in the past so the news that some of the new merchandises will go up to size 3x was absolute music to my ears.

As a visible fat woman, plus size, whatever you want to call it, it’s always a win when a brand decides to add a plus size line or better yet simply extend their original line. It’s an acknowledgment that women like me love fashion and deserve to look good. And….. nothing like a one stop shop, grocery, and clothes shopping will be completed together.
