How to wear monochromatic like a pro? I don’t think I am a pro at this, but based on the few times I’ve worn a monochromatic outfit I think I can share a few tips with you. This is the dance I made when I learned that White House Black Market was launching a plus size line this Fall. I’ve been sitting on this news since this summer and I could not wait to finally it share with you. Starting today and right on time for the holidays, you can shop sizes US16 to US24 on their website.

I have been blogging for years. For all those years I and others have fought tooth and nail for inclusivity and better fashion for plus size women. First, some brands listened and started to make plus-sized lines. We were happy until we found out that the lines would only be carried online (insert sad face). If they were carried in the store, you had to walk into the darkest corner at the back to get them. Even then, the items in plus were different from the straight size ( insert another sad face).

Phew ! We made it through the first week of school guys. The kids are still working on their sleeping patterns and I am working on making healthy lunches for them. Other than that, we are ready for an amazing year.

I wanted to start today’s post by sending plenty of love to everyone affected by the hurricanes. I was browsing through some photos last night and I could not hold my tears. These hurricanes have destroyed entire countries and nothing can give them back what they’ve lost. I hope we can all find it in our hearts to spare some clothes and money to help the victims. You can make donations here.

Floral Cold Shoulder

We are officially just 2 weeks away from the beginning of school. Insert panic mode, trying to figure out everything last minute. As much as I am ready for the kiddos to get back to school, I am going to miss having them around the house. We had an amazing summer, I hope you did too. Joe Fresh extended line- Fall editionWhen I heard the news that Canadian clothing retailer, Joe Fresh was launching a plus size line or I should say extending their line for its fall collection, I was excited, to say the least. I have squeezed myself in many of their pieces in the past so the news that some of the new merchandises will go up to size 3x was absolute music to my ears.

As a visible fat woman, plus size, whatever you want to call it, it’s always a win when a brand decides to add a plus size line or better yet simply extend their original line. It’s an acknowledgment that women like me love fashion and deserve to look good. And….. nothing like a one stop shop, grocery, and clothes shopping will be completed together.
