What to Wear To A Winery

what to wear to a winery plus size Mycurvesandcurls.com Assa Cisse

A beautiful cloudy day at the most beautiful location ever! I just came back from a press trip from Grey County Ontario. I never knew such a beautiful place existed just a couple of hours north of Toronto. It was a fun filled weekend and we stopped at numerous places around Grey County including Coffin Ridge winery. For someone who has never been to a winery, I was very excited to say the least. I will share my travel experience with you in the next coming weeks.

Happy Friday loves! Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite recent purchases. I bought this cute gingham top a few weeks ago from all places  Zara. Shocked ! Last I checked Zara virtually had nothing that fits this body of mine. I go there most times to check out the accessories and the kids’ section. Read More »

Mother’s Day Dress With Reitmans

Mother's Day dress with REITMANS- MYCURVESANDCURLS.COM

There are only 3 things I wish for on Mother’s Day: Lot of kisses and hugs from the boys and a cute dress for brunch. This will be my ninth year celebrating mother’s day. Where has time gone? Before we know it we’ll have full-blown teenagers. I feel incredibly blessed to have two happy, healthy children and an incredible husband.

Off The Shoulder And White Crop Denim

I hope y’all had an amazing week! I sure had a busy one. I’d like to say that’ll take it slow this weekend but who am I kidding? With summer rolling in there is so much to do around the house. I am working on a fun project for the blog and hoping to finish painting the pergola in the backyard. Talking about summer, how cute is this outfit? I think it is the perfect combo for both spring and summer. It features two trends I am loving this season – The cropped pants and off the shoulder. You may think, I am a bit bias because I am the off the shoulder girl, but who wouldn’t want to show a little skin especially when it’s hot outside. Read More »

DIY Cover Up With Pom Poms ( kaftan)

How to make a pom pom cover-up kaftan- Chic Punta Cana all inclusive all adult resort

I few weeks before my trip to Punta Cana With Sunwing vacations, I started looking around for cover ups. I wanted a fun and colorful one that I could wear both in and out of the beach. Sadly, the ones that really caught my eyes did not come in my size. I am sure you know the rest of the story. Frustration and anger started to get the best of me. To think that in 2017 we still can’t find what we love when it comes to clothing is unbelievable. With my minimal sewing skills, I made one for myself and this is the result. It was inspired by this Pom-pom Trim Beach Cover-up that Merrick Art made a few years back. Check out her post for all the instructions on how to make your own cover up. Feel free to also check these stores on Etsy  for some options. Read More »

8 Plus Size Ethical and Eco-Friendly Clothing Brands

Plus Size Ethical and Eco-Friendly Clothing BrandsThis post has been in-demand ever since I collaborated with World Vision Canada to promote  World Day against child labor last year. Every now and then, I get an email begging me to finally fulfill my promise to share the best plus size ethical and eco-friendly brands available in North America and beyond. At first, I was very reluctant because I run a lifestyle blog that features products from all kind of brands. In another word, this blog is by no means an example of how to lead a sustainable lifestyle. Then, I thought why not? Part of my job as blogger is to share information and help others.

Many people (myself included) are guilty of amassing piles of clothes, shoes and barely use half of them. As much as I try to buy less and invest in quality pieces, I still have a thing for fast fashion. I have no issue admitting that I am part of the problem. I am willing to take small steps toward changing my buying habits, be part of the solution by investing more and more in plus size ethical fashion brands.
