How To Kick Sickness To The Curb Before It Gets Started

Brought to you by Jamieson and TheCo.

Imagine booking a vacation and your entire family ends up getting sick just a few days before your trip. That’s exactly what happened to us last December. I had our hotel booked in Quebec City, suitcases almost packed and boom; one of my little munchkin comes home with a stomach bug. To make matters worse my husband also came home from a business trip with a nasty cold. The kind that made him stay in bed for days. If I am honest that was a blessing in disguise because he needed to slow down a bit. Besides, I am sure he enjoyed being taken care of for a few days. Read More »

DECORATING FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Happy Friday!  We are officially sixteen days away from Christmas. Even though our tree is out, the kids want us to try a real tree this year. I am not sure if it’s worth it since our Christmas trees are picked the first business day after Christmas by the city. So we won’t enjoy we won’t be able to it enjoy as much. I might end up buying a little one for their bedroom because the holidays are all about making everyone happy and merry.

I don’t know about you but every year I like to change things up a bit when it comes to our holiday decor. This year, I’ve gotten rid of a lot of stuff that I’ve not used over the past few years and picked new ones from Amazon.ca. The prices are just unbeatable and even lower now that Christmas is fast approaching. Thinking of getting this 9-foot tree for our dining room for next year. Below you will find a list of items I’ve purchased and a few others I am sure you will love. I am adding some storage items there as well because the seasonal decors have to be stored somewhere right? Also if you are an Amazon prime member you can receive these items in no time. Read More »

It’s getting close to Christmas! Insert panic mode. Have you started shopping yet? The weeks are flying by and the last thing you want to do is wait until the last minute. Believe me, I know. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to explain to the kids I couldn’t get my hands on one of the hottest toys of the year yet: the fingerlings.

In the meantime, I got my hands on plenty of other fun gifts for the boys from Walmart Canada that I know they will enjoy this holiday season and for years to come. Read More »

The Perfect Weekend Itinerary For Visiting Prince Edward County

It’s very hard to scroll through my Instagram these days without stumbling on a photo of Prince Edward County. Could it be because of the gastronomical delight, wineries, the antique shops or the art galleries? I must say it really piqued my curiosity. I have lived in Ontario for ages but never visited that side of the province.

A few days ago, we packed and headed to Prince Edward County for the perfect family getaway. Yes, friends, the County is not only for lovebirds and wine lovers, there are plenty of activities available for families. It only took us a few minutes of driving around to create an endless bucket list of things to do as a family. To help you plan your next visit, I’ve put together the perfect weekend itinerary to exploring and experiencing all the good things the County has to offer. Grab your tea, wine, coffee or whatever you have in hands because this is going to be a long and detailed post. Read More »

Life Simplified with Texture

Life Simplified with Texture- Assa cisse

Brought to you by Texture and TheCo.

When you live in my world no two days is the same. There are days I am running errands and taking the kids to their respective activities but today is just not one of those days. It’s only 12 pm, I’ve started dinner (crockpot is a lifesaver), the house is clean and the laundry is completed for the day. I’ve got a few more hours before the kids get home. This is the window I use to plan future blog posts, respond to emails, find inspiration for home decor, outfits and plan the menu for the week.

Talking about inspiration, where do you find yours? Blogs? Magazines? As a content creator and a mother, I am always looking for inspiration. I love reading blogs but magazines are still my favorite. Many of you may have noticed that through my photos. I am absolutely guilty of buying two to three magazines a month. The worst part of it all; I do not like to get rid of them even when they are a few years old. Hey, you never know when you will need that steak Panini recipe again right? Read More »

Where To eat In Toronto: Kellys Landing

The Landing Cure

I love discovering new restaurants to eat at in the city. The food scene in Toronto is one of the best in the world. There is always somewhere new to go, something new to try. Last week, I was invited to taste the delicious food and drinks at Kellys Landing Bar Grill Hub located just a few feet away from the Union Station in downtown Toronto. Such a convenient spot for those of us who live outside of the city. The proximity of the restaurant to the Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre also makes it the perfect place to grab a meal or enjoy pre-or-post-game entertainment. Read More »

How To Grow Your Own Herb Garden

We’ve been looking forward to getting outside this month to start gardening and enjoy our new lush green lawn in the backyard. Our plan was to start gardening in early mid-May, but due to my illness and somewhat longer winter that was not possible. I must admit that I do not know a lot about gardening and I have always been so envious of those who have a green thumb.  Since I partnered with Scotts Miracle Gro earlier this year to take care of our lawn, I thought this would be a great opportunity to start my own little herb garden. Cooking is a passion of mine, thus, I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen. There is something so satisfying and magical about walking out to grab herbs that you’ve have nurtured yourself. Read More »
