Is it me, or are we having a mild fall this year? Not that I mind the warmer temperatures, but a girl is trying to wear her cute and comfy fall pieces. Talking about comfortable how gorgeous is this plus-size matching set? I purchased it last year but never had the chance to wear it outside of the home yet. Just like last year, cozy matching loungewear sets are having a moment, although I am not quite sure if this qualifies as loungewear. You be the judge. If you are looking for great plus-size loungewear, though, I wrote a post about where you can get the best ones on the net.
You already know what time it is. When September hits, rain or shine, Canadians minds switch to Fall. Well, so far, we have been waiting for the weather to change, but nothing yet. I can tell you one thing though once that fall weather hits, I will be ready. Last month, I took advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to get some essential Fall pieces, so today, I am here to talk about the plus-size new Fall arrivals. Before we get to that, I’d like to encourage you to safely check the Nordstrom stores across Canada sometimes because some of the good pieces don’t even make it online- That’s how quickly things sell out!
Happy Sunday friend,
This is a quick post to share with you what I wore to brunch today. I never do impromptu posts or do I post cell phone photos on the blog but this outfit is too cute not to share. If you are coming here from social media, hey girl hey. The outfit details are below
Jumpsuit: Monki | Bag: Zara | Shoes: Not your average size
It is that time of the year and I am not talking about Christmas. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is in full swing and I am here to share with you my picks from everything from the plus-size to the shoe section. This event is Nordstrom’s biggest, and most popular sales event of the year. It is a great way to stock up for the Fall season at a discounted rate. Nordstrom Canada is one of my favorite places to shop. First, because they are one of the few stores that carry size 12 shoes in Canada, second the service is always impeccable. For instance, when a piece of clothing or shoe isn’t available in my size in the store they always do their best to find it and ship it to my home for free!
How to wear a pleated skirt with a tummy was the number one question that brought googlers to my blog this month. So, like any great content creator out there, I am taking advantage of the traffic and writing a post to help you answer this burning question.
First of all, I want you to know that you are beautiful, tummy or not. I can totally understand why wearing a pleated skirt with a tummy is a popular question because even I have searched it before. The thing about pleated skirts is that they flatter all shapes and sizes. I don’t mind having a little tummy action because I am learning to accept my body every day. However, I love wearing pieces of clothes that flatter my body and accentuate my curves. I have shared a few tips on this post here on how to wear a pleated skirt when you are plus size. All these tips still apply today, so instead of repeating myself, I thought I would share some outfit ideas and a few tips about drawing attention to your best assets if you feel like your stomach area isn’t one. Everything below is shoppable, but the goal is for you to recreate these outfits with your own pieces.
Care for a little West African cuisine? Well, today I’d like to finally share with you one of the most popular dishes in both Mali and Senegal. I am sure this is devoured in other places in West Africa but these two countries which used to be one before the colonizers are the main ones I know. I grew up eating this meal, but I’ve always shied away from sharing it here. If you follow me on my social channels you know I love to throw it down in the kitchen and Maafé (Tigua degué in Mali) my friend is a meal I make at least twice a month.
It is one of those meals that all the kids including #babyD enjoy.
- This post had been updated with new white dresses for 2022
Is your Summer fashion wardrobe even complete without a little white dress? Just like the little black dress, white dresses are timeless, transitional, effortless, and versatile. With the world is opening back up, you may need a white plus size maxi dress, a plus-size white beach dress, a plus-size white party dress, a plus-size white outfit for an ” All White Party” and so forth.
Do you want to know what I do not have time for this summer? I do not have time for endless hair care routines that take an entire day to complete. The world is opening back up, and I am here a quick and easy wash & go so I can enjoy all that the outdoors have to offer. When it comes to summer hair, I turn to Target to help me achieve my go-to summer look. I’ve found many of my favorite curly hair brands over the years there, and they have one of the best selections.
Want to see some lip dress outfit Ideas for Summer? I got you.
I hope you guys are having a fantastic month. We are still on lockdown over here, so the only way to get my fashion fix these days is by making these collages, hoping to recreate some of them by the end of the summer.
Slip dresses are not only a summer essential but a wardrobe essential, period. They are light, easy to style, and for the most part, comfortable. Oh! They also make a great transitional piece. You can wear them on their own during the hot summer months and add great layering pieces at the beginning of Fall or Spring.
It’s precisely 12:09 AM, and I am sitting here writing this post because I promised many of you I would make a long-form blog with the recipe of this yummy roasted purple carrot hummus. Although the blog is where it all started, it’s getting harder and harder to find time to sit and write. I will not make empty promises, so I won’t even act like there would be a new post tomorrow. With that being said, how are you guys doing?
We are going through our 3rd lockdown since the beginning of the pandemic. it’s been a hard few months but I am grateful that both my family and I are doing ok.
