Hello from the other side! It looks like that’s how we are going to be greeting each other for a little while. I hope you guys are all doing ok and practicing social distancing. My heart is with everyone that has no choice but to go out to work or take care of others. You guys are heroes. These last few months have been hard for me both physically and mentally, so if you had told me that there was a pandemic ahead of us that will have us confined in our homes and claims hundreds of lives, I would not believe you. Yet here we are, all in one boat trying to get to shore as safely as possible. I am dealing with a lot of anxiety, stress, and uncertainty because of the unknown ahead of us.
I never expected to announce it on a time like this, but I hope this happy news for our family will bring you some sunshine today. My family has been blessed with a new bundle of joy.
Surprised?
In case you’ve missed it, I had already made the pregnancy announcement on my social media channels. When I found out we were expecting, I knew it was going to be a little challenging based on my previous pregnancies but nothing near what I lived through. Because of that, I decided to keep it private up until near the end. I was confined to my bed and would just step out to go to my prenatal doctor’s appointments. I turned down all my partnerships unless I had signed the contract months prior. This mama could barely eat or keep anything down. The toilet became my best friend. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of holding my baby at the end of my pregnancy. In the end, it was all worth it. We’ve been blessed with another handsome little man.
Three boys.
He came a little earlier than expected, but right before we were officially quarantined, which was quite frankly a miracle in disguise when I look back. I cannot even imagine going in and out of the hospital at this time.
If you are a mama that is going through a hard pregnancy or anxious during these trying times, I promised you there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Once you hold your little bundle of joy, it makes everything worth it. Right now, I am trying to get as much sleep as possible while juggling life at home with three kids. I did not expect the older ones to be home with me during the day with a newborn for the first few months, but I am thankful that we are all healthy at the moment. This is the new normal.
A big thank you to everyone that reached out to me when I dropped off the face of the earth. It meant a lot to me. I’ve run this little blog since 2012, boy I am proud of the community I’ve built.
As far as content, I would like to know what types of posts you’d like to see moving forward. Would you be interested in more lifestyle posts, baby posts, style posts, or maybe a little bit of everything? Let me know down below. In the meantime, I am currently super active on the Liketoknowit app for those who are interested in shopping posts. I cannot wait to catch up with you again; in the meantime, take care of you and your families.
Sending you plenty of virtual hugs!
